Sure, it may look like an unnecessary garnish, but if you do it right, it’s adds a little sweetness and as you go into to take a sip of the cosmopolitan cocktail, you’ll get orange essence, which hides the strength and scent of the vodka. Fill each shell with the lemon filling, almost to the top. This is a very easy recipe of lemon tart. For the whipped cream, add the cream, sugar, and vanilla to a bowl of an electric mixer. Chill the curd, uncovered, for at least 2 hours before adding the whipped cream. Gently shake the tart tin to level out the curd. Pour the filling into the baked tart crust. Arrange phyllo shells on a rimmed baking sheet. In this recipe I have made tart from scratch and lemon curd for the filling. Add butter and lemon juice and whisk until smooth. I included how to make the tart shells and its the same recipe for any of them. Lastly, we love adding a little orange peel to this.
